16 And the man in whom was the evil spirit leaped on them, mastered all[1] of them and overpowered them, so that they fled out of that house naked and wounded. 

New International Version

16 Then the man who had the evil spirit jumped on them and overpowered them all. He gave them such a beating that they ran out of the house naked and bleeding. 

New International Reader’s Version

16 Then the man who had the evil spirit jumped on Sceva’s sons. He overpowered them all. He gave them a terrible beating. They ran out of the house naked and bleeding. 

King James Version

16 And the man in whom the evil spirit was leaped on them, and overcame them, and prevailed against them, so that they fled out of that house naked and wounded.
