25 He had been instructed in the way of the Lord, and he spoke with great fervour[1] and taught about Jesus accurately, though he knew only the baptism of John.

New International Reader’s Version

25 Apollos had been taught the way of the Lord. He spoke with great power. He taught the truth about Jesus. But he only knew about John’s baptism.

King James Version

25 This man was instructed in the way of the Lord; and being fervent in the spirit, he spake and taught diligently the things of the Lord, knowing only the baptism of John.
