8 And God, who knows the heart, bore witness to them, by giving them the Holy Spirit just as he did to us, (Ac 1:24; Ac 10:44; Ac 10:47; Ac 11:15; Ac 11:17; Ac 14:3; Ac 15:28; Ga 3:2) 

New International Version

8 God, who knows the heart, showed that he accepted them by giving the Holy Spirit to them, just as he did to us. 

New International Reader’s Version

8 God knows the human heart. By giving the Holy Spirit to the Gentiles, he showed that he accepted them. He did the same for them as he had done for us.

8 And God, which knoweth the hearts, bare them witness, giving them the Holy Ghost, even as he did unto us;
