45 But when the Jews[1] saw the crowds, they were filled with jealousy and began to contradict what was spoken by Paul, reviling him. (Ac 5:17; Ac 18:6; Ac 19:9; Ac 26:11; 1Th 2:16; 1Ti 1:20) 

New International Version

45 When the Jews saw the crowds, they were filled with jealousy. They began to contradict what Paul was saying and heaped abuse on him. 

New International Reader’s Version

45 When the Jews saw the crowds, they became very jealous. They began to disagree with what Paul was saying. They said evil things against him. 

King James Version

45 But when the Jews saw the multitudes, they were filled with envy, and spake against those things which were spoken by Paul, contradicting and blaspheming.
