Acts 12:23

English Standard Version

23 Immediately an angel of the Lord struck him down, because he did not give God the glory, and he was eaten by worms and breathed his last. (2Sa 24:16; 2Ki 19:35; Ps 115:1; Ac 8:26) 

New International Version

23 Immediately, because Herod did not give praise to God, an angel of the Lord struck him down, and he was eaten by worms and died. 

New International Reader’s Version

23 Right away an angel of the Lord struck Herod down. Herod had not given praise to God. So he was eaten by worms and died. 

King James Version

23 And immediately the angel of the Lord smote him, because he gave not God the glory: and he was eaten of worms, and gave up the ghost.
