47 “Can anyone withhold water for baptizing these people, who have received the Holy Spirit just as we have?” (Ac 2:4; Ac 8:36; Ac 11:17; Ac 15:8)

47 ‘Surely no-one can stand in the way of their being baptised with water. They have received the Holy Spirit just as we have.’ 

New International Reader’s Version

47 ‘Surely no one can keep these people from being baptised with water. They have received the Holy Spirit just as we have.’ 

King James Version

47 Can any man forbid water, that these should not be baptized, which have received the Holy Ghost as well as we?
