3 David also defeated Hadadezer the son of Rehob, king of Zobah, as he went to restore his power at the river Euphrates. (1Sa 14:47; 2Sa 10:6; 2Sa 10:16; 2Sa 10:19; 1Ki 11:23; 1Ch 18:3) 

New International Version

3 Moreover, David defeated Hadadezer son of Rehob, king of Zobah, when he went to restore his monument at[1] the River Euphrates. 

New International Reader’s Version

3 David fought against Hadadezer, the son of Rehob. Hadadezer was king of Zobah. He had gone to repair his monument at the River Euphrates. 

King James Version

3 David smote also Hadadezer, the son of Rehob, king of Zobah, as he went to recover his border at the river Euphrates.
