18 and Benaiah the son of Jehoiada was over[1] the Cherethites and the Pelethites, and David’s sons were priests. (1Sa 30:14; 2Sa 15:18; 2Sa 20:7; 2Sa 23:20; 1Ki 1:38; 1Ki 4:4) 

New International Version

18 Benaiah son of Jehoiada was over the Kerethites and Pelethites; and David’s sons were priests.[1] (1Ch 18:17) 

New International Reader’s Version

18 Benaiah, the son of Jehoiada, was commander over the Kerethites and Pelethites. And David’s sons were priests. 

King James Version

18 And Benaiah the son of Jehoiada was over both the Cherethites and the Pelethites; and David' sons were chief rulers.
