12 And David knew that the Lord had established him king over Israel, and that he had exalted his kingdom for the sake of his people Israel. 

New International Version

12 Then David knew that the Lord had established him as king over Israel and had exalted his kingdom for the sake of his people Israel. 

New International Reader’s Version

12 Then David knew that the LORD had made his position as king secure. He knew that he had made him king over the whole nation of Israel. He knew that the LORD had greatly honoured his kingdom. The LORD had done it because the Israelites were his people. 

King James Version

12 And David perceived that the LORD had established him king over Israel, and that he had exalted his kingdom for his people Israel' sake.
