2 Samuel 21:7

English Standard Version

7 But the king spared Mephibosheth, the son of Saul’s son Jonathan, because of the oath of the Lord that was between them, between David and Jonathan the son of Saul. (1Sa 20:8; 1Sa 20:42; 1Sa 23:18) 

New International Version

7 The king spared Mephibosheth son of Jonathan, the son of Saul, because of the oath before the Lord between David and Jonathan son of Saul. 

New International Reader’s Version

7 The king spared Mephibosheth. He was the son of Jonathan and the grandson of Saul. David had made a promise in front of the LORD. He had promised to be kind to Jonathan and the family line of his father Saul. 

King James Version

7 But the king spared Mephibosheth, the son of Jonathan the son of Saul, because of the LORD' oath that was between them, between David and Jonathan the son of Saul.
