2 Samuel 13:32

English Standard Version

32 But Jonadab the son of Shimeah, David’s brother, said, “Let not my lord suppose that they have killed all the young men, the king’s sons, for Amnon alone is dead. For by the command of Absalom this has been determined from the day he violated his sister Tamar. (2Sa 13:3) 

New International Version

32 But Jonadab son of Shimeah, David’s brother, said, ‘My lord should not think that they killed all the princes; only Amnon is dead. This has been Absalom’s express intention ever since the day that Amnon raped his sister Tamar. 

New International Reader’s Version

32 Jonadab, the son of David’s brother Shimeah, spoke up. He said, ‘You shouldn’t think that all the princes have been killed. The only one who is dead is Amnon. Absalom had planned to kill him ever since the day Amnon raped his sister Tamar. 

King James Version

32 And Jonadab, the son of Shimeah David' brother, answered and said, Let not my lord suppose that they have slain all the young men the king' sons; for Amnon only is dead: for by the appointment of Absalom this hath been determined from the day that he forced his sister Tamar.
