English Standard Version

25 and sent a message by Nathan the prophet. So he called his name Jedidiah,[1] because of the Lord. 

New International Version

25 and because the Lord loved him, he sent word through Nathan the prophet to name him Jedidiah.[1] 

New International Reader’s Version

25 So the LORD sent a message through Nathan the prophet. The LORD said, ‘Name the boy Jedidiah.’ 

King James Version

25 And he sent by the hand of Nathan the prophet; and he called his name Jedidiah, because of the LORD.
