English Standard Version

16 In the fifth year of Joram the son of Ahab, king of Israel, when Jehoshaphat was king of Judah,[1] Jehoram the son of Jehoshaphat, king of Judah, began to reign. (2Ki 1:17; 2Ki 3:1) 

New International Version

16 In the fifth year of Joram son of Ahab king of Israel, when Jehoshaphat was king of Judah, Jehoram son of Jehoshaphat began his reign as king of Judah. 

New International Reader’s Version

16 Jehoram began to rule as king over Judah. It was in the fifth year that Joram was king of Israel. Joram was the son of Ahab. Jehoram was the son of Jehoshaphat. 

King James Version

16 And in the fifth year of Joram the son of Ahab king of Israel, Jehoshaphat being then king of Judah, Jehoram the son of Jehoshaphat king of Judah began to reign.
