2 Kings 4:13

English Standard Version

13 And he said to him, “Say now to her, ‘See, you have taken all this trouble for us; what is to be done for you? Would you have a word spoken on your behalf to the king or to the commander of the army?’” She answered, “I dwell among my own people.” (2Sa 19:13; 2Ki 5:1)

New International Version

13 Elisha said to him, ‘Tell her, “You have gone to all this trouble for us. Now what can be done for you? Can we speak on your behalf to the king or the commander of the army?” ’ She replied, ‘I have a home among my own people.’

New International Reader’s Version

13 He said to Gehazi, ‘Tell her, “You have gone to a lot of trouble for us. Now what can we do for you? Can we speak to the king for you? Or can we speak to the commander of the army for you?” ’ She replied, ‘I live among my own people. I have everything I need here.’

King James Version

13 And he said unto him, Say now unto her, Behold, thou hast been careful for us with all this care; what is to be done for thee? wouldest thou be spoken for to the king, or to the captain of the host? And she answered, I dwell among mine own people.
