2 Kings 3:11

English Standard Version

11 And Jehoshaphat said, “Is there no prophet of the Lord here, through whom we may inquire of the Lord?” Then one of the king of Israel’s servants answered, “Elisha the son of Shaphat is here, who poured water on the hands of Elijah.” (1Ki 19:21; 1Ki 22:7; 2Ki 2:25; Joh 13:4)

New International Version

11 But Jehoshaphat asked, ‘Is there no prophet of the Lord here, through whom we may enquire of the Lord?’ An officer of the king of Israel answered, ‘Elisha son of Shaphat is here. He used to pour water on the hands of Elijah.[1]

New International Reader’s Version

11 But Jehoshaphat asked, ‘Isn’t there a prophet of the LORD here? Can’t we ask the LORD for advice through him?’ An officer of the king of Israel answered, ‘Elisha is here. He’s the son of Shaphat. Elisha used to serve Elijah.’

King James Version

11 But Jehoshaphat said, Is there not here a prophet of the LORD, that we may enquire of the LORD by him? And one of the king of Israel' servants answered and said, Here is Elisha the son of Shaphat, which poured water on the hands of Elijah.
