2 Kings 22:17

English Standard Version

17 Because they have forsaken me and have made offerings to other gods, that they might provoke me to anger with all the work of their hands, therefore my wrath will be kindled against this place, and it will not be quenched. (De 29:25; 2Ki 21:22; 2Ki 22:13) 

New International Version

17 Because they have forsaken me and burned incense to other gods and aroused my anger by all the idols their hands have made,[1] my anger will burn against this place and will not be quenched.” 

New International Reader’s Version

17 That’s because the people have deserted me. They have burned incense to other gods. They have made me very angry because of the statues of gods their hands have made. So my anger will burn like a fire against this place. And the fire of my anger will not be put out.” ’ ” 

King James Version

17 Because they have forsaken me, and have burned incense unto other gods, that they might provoke me to anger with all the works of their hands; therefore my wrath shall be kindled against this place, and shall not be quenched.
