2 Kings 2:12

English Standard Version

12 And Elisha saw it and he cried, “My father, my father! The chariots of Israel and its horsemen!” And he saw him no more. Then he took hold of his own clothes and tore them in two pieces. (1Ki 11:30; 2Ki 13:14) 

New International Version

12 Elisha saw this and cried out, ‘My father! My father! The chariots and horsemen of Israel!’ And Elisha saw him no more. Then he took hold of his garment and tore it in two. 

New International Reader’s Version

12 Elisha saw it and cried out to Elijah, ‘My father! You are like a father to me! You, Elijah, are the true chariots and horsemen of Israel!’ Elisha didn’t see Elijah anymore. Then Elisha took hold of his own garment and tore it in two. 

King James Version

12 And Elisha saw it , and he cried, My father, my father, the chariot of Israel, and the horsemen thereof. And he saw him no more: and he took hold of his own clothes, and rent them in two pieces.
