2 Kings 14:6

6 But he did not put to death the children of the murderers, according to what is written in the Book of the Law of Moses, where the Lord commanded, “Fathers shall not be put to death because of their children, nor shall children be put to death because of their fathers. But each one shall die for his own sin.” (De 24:16; Jer 31:30; Eze 18:4; Eze 18:20) 

New International Version

6 Yet he did not put the children of the assassins to death, in accordance with what is written in the Book of the Law of Moses where the Lord commanded: ‘Parents are not to be put to death for their children, nor children put to death for their parents; each will die for their own sin.’ (De 24:16) 

New International Reader’s Version

6 But he didn’t put their children to death. He obeyed what is written in the Book of the Law of Moses. There the LORD commanded, ‘Parents must not be put to death because of what their children do. And children must not be put to death because of what their parents do. People must die because of their own sins.’ (De 24:16) 

King James Version

6 But the children of the murderers he slew not: according unto that which is written in the book of the law of Moses, wherein the LORD commanded, saying, The fathers shall not be put to death for the children, nor the children be put to death for the fathers; but every man shall be put to death for his own sin.
