3 But the angel of the Lord said to Elijah the Tishbite, “Arise, go up to meet the messengers of the king of Samaria, and say to them, ‘Is it because there is no God in Israel that you are going to inquire of Baal-zebub, the god of Ekron? (1Ki 17:1; 1Ki 21:17; 2Ki 1:2)

New International Version

3 But the angel of the Lord said to Elijah the Tishbite, ‘Go up and meet the messengers of the king of Samaria and ask them, “Is it because there is no God in Israel that you are going off to consult Baal-Zebub, the god of Ekron?”

New International Reader’s Version

3 But the angel of the LORD spoke to Elijah, who was from Tishbe. The angel said, ‘Go up to see the messengers of Ahaziah, the king of Samaria. Tell them, “You are on your way to ask Baal-Zebub for advice. He is the god of Ekron. Are you going there to pray to that god? Do you think there is no God in Israel?”
