10 For godly grief produces a repentance that leads to salvation without regret, whereas worldly grief produces death. (2Sa 12:13; Pr 17:22; Ac 11:18) 

New International Version

10 Godly sorrow brings repentance that leads to salvation and leaves no regret, but worldly sorrow brings death. 

New International Reader’s Version

10 Godly sadness causes us to turn away from our sins and be saved. And we are certainly not sorry about that! But worldly sadness brings death. 

King James Version

10 For godly sorrow worketh repentance to salvation not to be repented of: but the sorrow of the world worketh death.
