2 Corinthians 5:21

English Standard Version

21 For our sake he made him to be sin who knew no sin, so that in him we might become the righteousness of God. (Ro 1:17; Ro 4:25; Ro 8:3; 1Co 1:30; Ga 3:13; 1Pe 2:22) 

New International Version

21 God made him who had no sin to be sin[1] for us, so that in him we might become the righteousness of God. 

New International Reader’s Version

21 Christ didn’t have any sin. But God made him become sin for us. So we can be made right with God because of what Christ has done for us. 

King James Version

21 For he hath made him to be sin for us, who knew no sin; that we might be made the righteousness of God in him.
