21 And King Uzziah was a leper to the day of his death, and being a leper lived in a separate house, for he was excluded from the house of the Lord. And Jotham his son was over the king’s household, governing the people of the land. (Le 13:46; Nu 5:2; 2Ki 15:5)

New International Version

21 King Uzziah had leprosy until the day he died. He lived in a separate house[1] – leprous, and excluded from the temple of the Lord. Jotham his son had charge of the palace and governed the people of the land.

New International Reader’s Version

21 King Uzziah had the skin disease until the day he died. He lived in a separate house because he had the disease. And he wasn’t allowed to enter the LORD’s temple. Uzziah’s son Jotham was in charge of the palace. Jotham ruled over the people of the land.

King James Version

21 And Uzziah the king was a leper unto the day of his death, and dwelt in a several house, being a leper; for he was cut off from the house of the LORD: and Jotham his son was over the king' house, judging the people of the land.
