16 But when he was strong, he grew proud, to his destruction. For he was unfaithful to the Lord his God and entered the temple of the Lord to burn incense on the altar of incense. (De 8:14; De 32:15; 2Ki 14:10; 2Ch 12:1; 2Ch 25:19; 2Ch 32:25; Eze 28:2; Eze 28:5; Eze 28:17) 

New International Version

16 But after Uzziah became powerful, his pride led to his downfall. He was unfaithful to the Lord his God, and entered the temple of the Lord to burn incense on the altar of incense. 

New International Reader’s Version

16 But after Uzziah became powerful, his pride brought him down. He wasn’t faithful to the LORD his God. He entered the LORD’s temple to burn incense on the altar for burning incense. 

King James Version

16 But when he was strong, his heart was lifted up to his destruction: for he transgressed against the LORD his God, and went into the temple of the LORD to burn incense upon the altar of incense.
