2 Chronicles 23:3

3 And all the assembly made a covenant with the king in the house of God. And Jehoiada[1] said to them, “Behold, the king’s son! Let him reign, as the Lord spoke concerning the sons of David. (2Ch 6:16) 

New International Version

3 the whole assembly made a covenant with the king at the temple of God. Jehoiada said to them, ‘The king’s son shall reign, as the Lord promised concerning the descendants of David. 

New International Reader’s Version

3 The whole community made a covenant with the new king at God’s temple. Jehoiada said to them, ‘Ahaziah’s son will rule over Judah. That’s what the LORD promised concerning the family line of David. 

King James Version

3 And all the congregation made a covenant with the king in the house of God. And he said unto them, Behold, the king' son shall reign, as the LORD hath said of the sons of David.
