24 When Judah came to the watchtower of the wilderness, they looked toward the horde, and behold, there[1] were dead bodies lying on the ground; none had escaped. 

New International Version

24 When the men of Judah came to the place that overlooks the desert and looked towards the vast army, they saw only dead bodies lying on the ground; no-one had escaped. 

New International Reader’s Version

24 The men of Judah came to the place that looks out over the desert. They turned to look down at the huge army. But all they saw was dead bodies lying there on the ground. No one had escaped. 

King James Version

24 And when Judah came toward the watch tower in the wilderness, they looked unto the multitude, and, behold, they were dead bodies fallen to the earth, and none escaped.
