English Standard Version

1 Solomon the son of David established himself in his kingdom, and the Lord his God was with him and made him exceedingly great. (1Ki 2:46; 1Ch 29:25) 

New International Version

1 Solomon son of David established himself firmly over his kingdom, for the Lord his God was with him and made him exceedingly great. 

New International Reader’s Version

1 Solomon was the son of David. Solomon made his position secure over his kingdom. The LORD his God was with him. He made Solomon very great. 

King James Version

1 And Solomon the son of David was strengthened in his kingdom, and the LORD his God was with him, and magnified him exceedingly.
