12 And they entered into a covenant to seek the Lord, the God of their fathers, with all their heart and with all their soul, (2Ki 23:3; 2Ch 29:10; 2Ch 34:31; Ne 10:29) 

New International Version

12 They entered into a covenant to seek the Lord, the God of their ancestors, with all their heart and soul. 

New International Reader’s Version

12 They made a covenant to obey the LORD, the God of their people. They would obey him with all their heart and soul.
