8 Therefore whoever disregards this, disregards not man but God, who gives his Holy Spirit to you. (Lu 10:16; 1Th 2:13; 1Jo 3:24; 1Jo 4:13) 

New International Version

8 Therefore, anyone who rejects this instruction does not reject a human being but God, the very God who gives you his Holy Spirit. 

New International Reader’s Version

8 Suppose someone refuses to accept our teaching. They are not turning their back on us. They are turning their back on God. This same God gives you his Holy Spirit.
