9 For you remember, brothers, our labor and toil: we worked night and day, that we might not be a burden to any of you, while we proclaimed to you the gospel of God. (Ac 18:3; Php 4:16; 2Th 3:8) 

New International Version

9 Surely you remember, brothers and sisters, our toil and hardship; we worked night and day in order not to be a burden to anyone while we preached the gospel of God to you. 

New International Reader’s Version

9 Brothers and sisters, I am sure you remember how hard we worked. We laboured night and day while we preached to you God’s good news. We didn’t want to cause you any expense.

9 For ye remember, brethren, our labour and travail: for labouring night and day, because we would not be chargeable unto any of you, we preached unto you the gospel of God.
