10 But David pursued, he and four hundred men. Two hundred stayed behind, who were too exhausted to cross the brook Besor. (1Sa 30:21) 

New International Version

10 Two hundred of them were too exhausted to cross the valley, but David and the other four hundred continued the pursuit. 

New International Reader’s Version

10 That’s because 200 of them were too tired to go across the valley. But David and the other 400 continued the chase. 

King James Version

10 But David pursued, he and four hundred men: for two hundred abode behind, which were so faint that they could not go over the brook Besor.
