18 So Samuel told him everything and hid nothing from him. And he said, “It is the Lord. Let him do what seems good to him.” (2Sa 10:12; Job 1:21; Job 2:10; Ps 39:9; Isa 39:8) 

New International Version

18 So Samuel told him everything, hiding nothing from him. Then Eli said, ‘He is the Lord; let him do what is good in his eyes.’ 

New International Reader’s Version

18 So Samuel told him everything. He didn’t hide anything from him. Then Eli said, ‘He is the LORD. Let him do what he thinks is best.’ 

King James Version

18 And Samuel told him every whit, and hid nothing from him. And he said, It is the LORD: let him do what seemeth him good.
