10 And David said, “As the Lord lives, the Lord will strike him, or his day will come to die, or he will go down into battle and perish. (Ge 47:29; De 31:14; Ru 3:13; 1Sa 25:38; 1Sa 31:6) 

New International Version

10 As surely as the Lord lives,’ he said, ‘the Lord himself will strike him, or his time will come and he will die, or he will go into battle and perish. 

New International Reader’s Version

10 You can be sure that the LORD lives,’ he said. ‘And you can be just as sure that the LORD himself will strike Saul down. Perhaps he’ll die a natural death. Or perhaps he’ll go into battle and be killed. 

King James Version

10 David said furthermore, As the LORD liveth, the LORD shall smite him; or his day shall come to die; or he shall descend into battle, and perish.
