1 [1] Then David came to Nob, to Ahimelech the priest. And Ahimelech came to meet David, trembling, and said to him, “Why are you alone, and no one with you?” (1Sa 14:3; 1Sa 16:4; 1Sa 22:9; 1Sa 22:11; 1Sa 22:19; Ne 11:32; Isa 10:32; Mr 2:26)

1 [1] David went to Nob, to Ahimelek the priest. Ahimelek trembled when he met him, and asked, ‘Why are you alone? Why is no-one with you?’

1 David went to Ahimelek the priest at Nob. Ahimelek trembled with fear when he met him. He asked David, ‘Why are you alone? Why isn’t anyone with you?’ 

King James Version

1 Then came David to Nob to Ahimelech the priest: and Ahimelech was afraid at the meeting of David, and said unto him, Why art thou alone, and no man with thee?
