11 Saul sent messengers to David’s house to watch him, that he might kill him in the morning. But Michal, David’s wife, told him, “If you do not escape with your life tonight, tomorrow you will be killed.” 

New International Version

11 Saul sent men to David’s house to watch it and to kill him in the morning. But Michal, David’s wife, warned him, ‘If you don’t run for your life tonight, tomorrow you’ll be killed.’ 

New International Reader’s Version

11 Saul sent some men to watch David’s house. He told them to kill David the next morning. But David’s wife Michal warned him. She said, ‘You must run for your life tonight. If you don’t, tomorrow you will be killed.’ 

King James Version

11 Saul also sent messengers unto David' house, to watch him, and to slay him in the morning: and Michal David' wife told him, saying, If thou save not thy life to night, to morrow thou shalt be slain.
