1 Samuel 15:11

English Standard Version

11 “I regret[1] that I have made Saul king, for he has turned back from following me and has not performed my commandments.” And Samuel was angry, and he cried to the Lord all night. (Ge 6:6; 1Sa 13:13; 1Sa 15:3; 1Sa 15:9) 

New International Version

11 ‘I regret that I have made Saul king, because he has turned away from me and has not carried out my instructions.’ Samuel was angry, and he cried out to the Lord all that night. 

New International Reader’s Version

11 ‘I am very sad I have made Saul king. He has turned away from me. He has not done what I instructed him to do.’ When Samuel heard that, he was angry. He cried out to the LORD during that whole night. 

King James Version

11 It repenteth me that I have set up Saul to be king: for he is turned back from following me, and hath not performed my commandments. And it grieved Samuel; and he cried unto the LORD all night.
