1 Peter 2:24

English Standard Version

24 He himself bore our sins in his body on the tree, that we might die to sin and live to righteousness. By his wounds you have been healed. (Isa 53:4; Isa 53:5; Isa 53:11; Mt 8:17; Ro 6:2; Ro 6:11; Ro 6:13; Ro 7:4; Ro 7:6; Col 2:20; Col 3:3; Heb 9:28)

New International Reader’s Version

24 ‘He himself carried our sins’ in his body on the cross. He did it so that we would die as far as sins are concerned. Then we would lead godly lives. ‘His wounds have healed you.’ (Isa 53:5)

King James Version

24 Who his own self bare our sins in his own body on the tree, that we, being dead to sins, should live unto righteousness: by whose stripes ye were healed.
