6 Ahishar was in charge of the palace; and Adoniram the son of Abda was in charge of the forced labor. (2Sa 20:24; 1Ki 5:14; 1Ki 9:15; 1Ki 12:18; 2Ch 10:18) 

New International Version

6 Ahishar, palace administrator; Adoniram son of Abda, in charge of forced labour. 

New International Reader’s Version

6 Ahishar was in charge of the palace. Adoniram was in charge of those who were forced to work for the king. He was the son of Abda. 

King James Version

6 And Ahishar was over the household: and Adoniram the son of Abda was over the tribute.
