English Standard Version

53 He served Baal and worshiped him and provoked the Lord, the God of Israel, to anger in every way that his father had done. (1Ki 16:30; 1Ki 16:31) 

New International Version

53 He served and worshipped Baal and aroused the anger of the Lord, the God of Israel, just as his father had done. 

New International Reader’s Version

53 Ahaziah served and worshipped the god named Baal. He made the LORD, the God of Israel, very angry. That’s exactly what Ahaziah’s father had done. 

King James Version

53 For he served Baal, and worshipped him, and provoked to anger the LORD God of Israel, according to all that his father had done.
