7 Then the king of Israel called all the elders of the land and said, “Mark, now, and see how this man is seeking trouble, for he sent to me for my wives and my children, and for my silver and my gold, and I did not refuse him.” (1Ki 21:8; 1Ki 21:11; 2Ki 5:7)

New International Version

7 The king of Israel summoned all the elders of the land and said to them, ‘See how this man is looking for trouble! When he sent for my wives and my children, my silver and my gold, I did not refuse him.’

New International Reader’s Version

7 The king of Israel sent for all the elders of the land. He said to them, ‘This man is really looking for trouble! He sent for my wives and children. He sent for my silver and gold. And I agreed to give them to him.’
