4 But he himself went a day’s journey into the wilderness and came and sat down under a broom tree. And he asked that he might die, saying, “It is enough; now, O Lord, take away my life, for I am no better than my fathers.” (Nu 11:15; Jon 4:3; Jon 4:8)

New International Version

4 while he himself went a day’s journey into the wilderness. He came to a broom bush, sat down under it and prayed that he might die. ‘I have had enough, Lord,’ he said. ‘Take my life; I am no better than my ancestors.’

4 Then he travelled for one day into the desert. He came to a small bush. He sat down under it. He prayed that he would die. ‘LORD, I’ve had enough,’ he said. ‘Take my life. I’m no better than my people of long ago.’
