1 Kings 1:48

English Standard Version

48 And the king also said, ‘Blessed be the Lord, the God of Israel, who has granted someone[1] to sit on my throne this day, my own eyes seeing it.’” (1Ki 3:6; Ps 132:11)

New International Version

48 and said, “Praise be to the Lord, the God of Israel, who has allowed my eyes to see a successor on my throne today.” ’

New International Reader’s Version

48 He said, “I praise the LORD. He is the God of Israel. He has let me live to see my son sitting on my throne today as the next king.” ’

King James Version

48 And also thus said the king, Blessed be the LORD God of Israel, which hath given one to sit on my throne this day, mine eyes even seeing it .
