1 John 5:9

English Standard Version

9 If we receive the testimony of men, the testimony of God is greater, for this is the testimony of God that he has borne concerning his Son. (Mt 3:17; Joh 5:34; Joh 5:36; Joh 8:17) 

New International Version

9 We accept human testimony, but God’s testimony is greater because it is the testimony of God, which he has given about his Son. 

New International Reader’s Version

9 We accept what people say when they are witnesses. But it’s more important when God is a witness. That’s because it is what God says about his Son. 

King James Version

9 If we receive the witness of men, the witness of God is greater: for this is the witness of God which he hath testified of his Son.
