1 John 4:16

English Standard Version

16 So we have come to know and to believe the love that God has for us. God is love, and whoever abides in love abides in God, and God abides in him. (Joh 6:69; 1Jo 3:24; 1Jo 4:8; 1Jo 4:12) 

New International Version

16 And so we know and rely on the love God has for us. God is love. Whoever lives in love lives in God, and God in them. 

New International Reader’s Version

16 So we know that God loves us. We depend on it. God is love. Anyone who leads a life of love is joined to God. And God is joined to them. 

King James Version

16 And we have known and believed the love that God hath to us. God is love; and he that dwelleth in love dwelleth in God, and God in him.
