English Standard Version

14 We know that we have passed out of death into life, because we love the brothers. Whoever does not love abides in death. (Joh 5:24) 

New International Version

14 We know that we have passed from death to life, because we love each other. Anyone who does not love remains in death. 

New International Reader’s Version

14 We know that we have left our old dead way of life. And we have entered into new life. We know this because we love one another. Anyone who doesn’t love still lives in their old condition. 

King James Version

14 We know that we have passed from death unto life, because we love the brethren. He that loveth not his brother abideth in death.
