28 And now, little children, abide in him, so that when he appears we may have confidence and not shrink from him in shame at his coming. (Col 3:4; 1Th 2:19; 1Jo 3:2; 1Jo 3:21; 1Jo 4:17; 1Jo 5:14)

28 And now, dear children, continue in him, so that when he appears we may be confident and unashamed before him at his coming. 

New International Reader’s Version

28 Dear children, remain joined to Christ. Then when he comes, we can be bold. We will not be ashamed to meet him when he comes.
