1 Corinthians 6:13

English Standard Version

13 “Food is meant for the stomach and the stomach for food”—and God will destroy both one and the other. The body is not meant for sexual immorality, but for the Lord, and the Lord for the body. (Mt 15:17; 1Co 6:15; 1Co 6:19; Eph 5:23; Col 2:22)

New International Version

13 You say, ‘Food for the stomach and the stomach for food, and God will destroy them both.’ The body, however, is not meant for sexual immorality but for the Lord, and the Lord for the body.

New International Reader’s Version

13 Some of you say, ‘Food is for the stomach, and the stomach is for food. And God will destroy both of them.’ But the body is not meant for sexual sins. The body is meant for the Lord. And the Lord is meant for the body.

King James Version

13 Meats for the belly, and the belly for meats: but God shall destroy both it and them. Now the body is not for fornication, but for the Lord; and the Lord for the body.
