23 But each in his own order: Christ the firstfruits, then at his coming those who belong to Christ. (Lu 14:14; 1Co 15:52; 1Th 2:19; 1Th 4:16)

23 But each in turn: Christ, the firstfruits; then, when he comes, those who belong to him.

23 But here is the order of events. Christ is the first of those who rise from the dead. When he comes back, those who belong to him will be raised.
