English Standard Version

13 and Beriah and Shema (they were heads of fathers’ houses of the inhabitants of Aijalon, who caused the inhabitants of Gath to flee); (Jos 10:12; 1Ch 8:21) 

New International Version

13 and Beriah and Shema, who were heads of families of those living in Aijalon and who drove out the inhabitants of Gath. 

New International Reader’s Version

13 Beriah and Shema were also sons of Elpaal. They were the leaders of the families who were living in Aijalon. Beriah and Shema drove out the people who were living in Gath.
