23 Then Solomon sat on the throne of the Lord as king in place of David his father. And he prospered, and all Israel obeyed him. (1Ki 2:12; 1Ch 28:5; 2Ch 9:8) 

New International Version

23 So Solomon sat on the throne of the Lord as king in place of his father David. He prospered and all Israel obeyed him. 

New International Reader’s Version

23 So Solomon sat on the throne of the LORD. He ruled as king in place of his father David. Things went well with him. All the people of Israel obeyed him. 

King James Version

23 Then Solomon sat on the throne of the LORD as king instead of David his father, and prospered; and all Israel obeyed him.
