1 Chronicles 29:20

English Standard Version

20 Then David said to all the assembly, “Bless the Lord your God.” And all the assembly blessed the Lord, the God of their fathers, and bowed their heads and paid homage to the Lord and to the king. (Ex 4:31; Jos 22:33) 

New International Version

20 Then David said to the whole assembly, ‘Praise the Lord your God.’ So they all praised the Lord, the God of their fathers; they bowed down, prostrating themselves before the Lord and the king. 

New International Reader’s Version

20 Then David said to the whole community, ‘Praise the LORD your God.’ So all of them praised the LORD. He’s the God of their people who lived long ago. The whole community bowed low. They fell down flat with their faces towards the ground. They did it in front of the LORD and the king. 

King James Version

20 And David said to all the congregation, Now bless the LORD your God. And all the congregation blessed the LORD God of their fathers, and bowed down their heads, and worshipped the LORD, and the king.
